SHIVAP throughout 2010

ADRA Indonesia has started broadcasting a Radio Program (above) with interactive dialogue method through the service of Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) Sorong to reach the whole areas. Broadcasted every first week of month, this program addressed HIV/AIDS issues. For the effectiveness of project in the second year of implementation, ADRA Indonesia has reached not only the health workers but also the prominent leaders in the communities such as village heads, religious leaders, youth leaders, and women groups. Trainings and workshops also cover Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and Reproductive Health. National Standard Trainings were done to certify the counselor, case manager, and laboratory staff in Sorong Selatan. ADRA Indonesia worked with Community Health Center (Puskesmas) Teminabuan to conduct charity clinic and to disseminate information about HIV & AIDS through VCT Mobile, integrated with Tuberculosis program of the government. Here, at the same time, the beneficiaries can have access to HIV test and consultation, and mass medical treatment program.
